Snow White and the Huntsman is an upcoming action fantasy film directed by Rupert Sanders and written by Evan Daugherty.In the time of the Dark Ages, the ruthless Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) has conquered several European kingdoms and plans to take over the Kingdom of England but then learns her stepdaughter Snow White (Kristen Stewart) is destined to surpass her not only as the "Fairest One of All" but also as the kingdom's future ruler. The Queen learns from her Magic Mirror (Christopher Obi) that the only way to remain in power to the throne is to consume Snow White's heart and achieve immortality. But Snow White manages to escape into the Dark Forest and Ravenna recruits the Huntsman Eric (Chris Hemsworth) to kill Snow White. Eric, however, takes pity on the young princess and teaches Snow White unique skills in the art of war. Now, with the aid of eight dwarves and her childhood love Prince William (Sam Claflin), Snow White begins a revolution to kill her stepmother once and for all.
Amazing Costume Feature on creating the clothing for Snow White, designed by Colleen Atwood- the costume featurette is just amazing. The idea that The Evil's Queen's various costumes reflect death, including the wedding dress at the beginning of the movie, is fantastic. There's been so much talk of Mirror Mirror's very stylistic costumes that Colleen Atwood's work hasn't really had a spotlight until now. Based on this I'm tempted to go just to see the details of Ravenna's wardrobe. We do get to hear more about how Snow White as a character is approached and her basic arc from how the progression of her wardrobe is described. At the moment, I'm far more interested in thee Evil Queen's story which seems to me to be far more layered.
